Thunder Bay — January incident on Lincoln Street results in arrest and charges

A Thunder Bay Police Service investigation into an assault has resulted in criminal charges against a city resident.

Police were called to a home in the Lincoln Street area on January 12, 2026, following reports of an altercation. Officers located an injured man inside the residence. He was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect had left the scene prior to police arrival.

Following further investigation, officers identified a suspect, who was later located and arrested on January 19, 2026.

As a result, 43-year-old Greg Meshake of Thunder Bay has been charged with:

  • Aggravated Assault

  • Failure to Comply with Probation Order

The accused remains in custody pending a future court appearance..
