SIOUX LOOKOUT, Ont. — A routine airport security check has led to drug-trafficking charges against a Sioux Lookout resident.
On November 18, 2025, security at the Sioux Lookout Airport reported finding suspected illicit drugs on a traveller who was about to board a flight to Big Trout Lake First Nation. The Sioux Lookout OPP Detachment responded. Police say they seized suspected methamphetamine and buprenorphine (an opioid).

BEARDY was held for bail, remanded to Kenora District Jail, and is scheduled to appear in court on November 21, 2025.
