Oct. 13–19 snapshot shows 59 crashes, 28 assaults, and 15 weapons calls; 911 handled 1,807 calls

THUNDER BAY – LOCAL CRIME REPORT (Oct. 13–19, 2025) — The Thunder Bay Police Service (TBPS)responded to 899 calls for service over the seven-day period, with 528 classified as top-priority responses.

This works out to 6.24 calls per hour averaged out, however the reality is calls are not evenly spaced out.

  • 59 motor vehicle collisions

  • 31 intimate partner violence calls

  • 34 mental-health related calls

  • 7 break and enter calls

  • 87 unwanted persons calls

  • 19 family disputes

TBPS notes that collision volumes remain elevated during fall conditions and earlier dusk.

Residents are encouraged to drive to conditions, report impaired driving, and use non-emergency lines for issues that are not time-critical so 911 remains available for urgent incidents.
