GREENSTONE – REGIONAL NEWS – The Greenstone OPP is investigating a fatal collision on Highway 11 that closed the route for several hours Friday evening.

Police say that at approximately 7:11 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025, officers responded to multiple calls about a collision involving a tractor-trailer and an SUV. The driver and sole occupant of the SUV, a 28-year-old woman from Longlac, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Highway 11 between Longlac and Beardmore was closed overnight for the on-scene investigation and reopened the following day shortly after 11:00 a.m.

The investigation is ongoing. At this time, police say no evidence has been obtained that would support charges.

Anyone with information, including dashcam footage, who has not yet spoken with officers is asked to contact Greenstone OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
