Update: Firearms-related incident
The Thunder Bay Police Service continues to investigate a firearms-related incident.
Thunder Bay Police Service Primary Response officers were dispatched to the area of May and Bethune Streets shortly after 1:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 25 after receiving a report of a weapons incident. No one was injured in the incident.
Further investigation by the Major Crime Unit revealed that the suspect who was arrested on scene was not the shooter. Marian George DODU was subsequently released the following day and charges against him were dismissed.
No further information is available at this time.

Thunder Bay Police Service Primary Response officers were dispatched to the May Street and Bethune Street area shortly after 1:00 a.m., Thursday, September 25, for a report of a weapons incident. Police located evidence that firearms had been used.
A suspect was located and taken into custody. No injuries are believed to have occurred.
