GERALDTON, ON —  News – On September 2, 2025, around 1:00 p.m., Greenstone OPP stopped a vehicle on Highway 11 after officers observed it travelling 119 km/h in a posted 70 km/h zone.

Charges Laid

  • Operation while impaired — alcohol and drugs

  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand

  • Drive motor vehicle — perform stunt — excessive speed

  • Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available

  • Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available

OPP URGES IMPAIRED DRIVING TO BE TREATED LIKE THE SERIOUS CRIME IT ISAs a result of the stunt driving allegation, the driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days and the vehicle impounded for 14 days. The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

All charges are allegations until proven in court.
