Couchiching First Nation: Five Arrested, Cocaine and Cash Seized After Break and Enter Call

COUCHICHING FIRST NATION – Treaty Three Police Service (T3PS) officers arrested five people and seized suspected cocaine and cash after responding to a reported break and enter on Sunday, August 10, 2025.

Officers arrived at the scene in the evening and began an investigation. During a search incident to arrest, police seized:

  • 191.82 grams of suspected cocaine

  • $5,200 in Canadian currency

T3PS says the investigation was supported by the T3PS Street Crime Unit and members of the Fort Frances OPP.

“The cooperative effort between T3PS units and the OPP in this case highlights the commitment of our officers to protect our communities from the harms of illicit drugs,” said Staff Sergeant John Reppard.

36-year-old female (Fort Frances)

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

  • Unlawfully in Dwelling House

  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000

  • Failure to Comply with Release Order (other than to attend court)

  • Trespassing at Night

  • Break, Enter a Dwelling House with Intent to Commit Indictable Offence

46-year-old male (Couchiching)

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

  • Unlawfully in Dwelling House

  • Obstruct Peace Officer

  • Failure to Comply with Undertaking ×2

  • Trespassing at Night

  • Break, Enter a Dwelling House with Intent to Commit Indictable Offence

54-year-old female (Thunder Bay)

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine ×2

50-year-old male (Thunder Bay)

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine ×2

38-year-old male (Toronto)

  • Failure to Comply with Undertaking

The investigation is ongoing.
