One Arrested, $15,000 in Suspected Crack Cocaine Seized at North Spirit Lake Airport

NORTH SPIRIT LAKE, ON — A woman has been charged after Nishnawbe Aski Police Service (NAPS) officers seized suspected crack cocaine during a call for service at the North Spirit Lake Airport on Sunday, August 3, 2025.

Officers from the North Spirit Lake detachment responded in the afternoon to a report of suspected drug trafficking at the airport.

On arrival, police located a female suspect. Further investigation led to the seizure of a quantity of suspected crack cocaine and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.

The suspect was arrested without incident and taken into custody. Police estimate the drugs have a street value of $15,000.

Charged:

  • Rebecca Irene RAE, 39, of North Spirit Lake First Nation

    • Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking

RAE has been released with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on a future date.
