KENORA – NEWS – Be advised a Precautionary Boil Water Advisory has been issued to all persons consuming water from the City of Kenora water distribution system from the following locations:

  • All residents North of the Canadian Pacific Railway tracks
  • 1506, 1507, 1510, 1511, 1512, 1518, 1537, 1629, 1633, 1702, 1705, 1706, 1708, 1712, 1713, 1714, 1716, 1719, and 1723 Railway Street
  • 512 Nineteenth Avenue North
  • Evergreen and Crawford Road Water Stations

Due to repairs/upgrades the safety of the drinking water cannot be guaranteed.

All water from taps should be boiled for at least one minute if it is used for human consumption.

Boiling removes harmful bacteria in the water that may cause illness. Once boiled the water can be stored in the refrigerator in a clean food-safe container and should be used for other activities where it may be ingested, including:

  • brushing teeth or soaking false teeth
  • washing fruits and vegetables
  • adding to uncooked food or drink
  • ice cubes

This advisory shall remain in effect until a notice of rescind is issued.
