Traffic Complaint Prompts Investigation

THUNDER BAY, ON – On July 11, 2025, at approximately 2:00 p.m., officers with the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a male obstructing traffic and displaying what appeared to be a police badge on Highway 587 in the Unincorporated Territory of Thunder Bay.

Charges Laid Against Mika Pooley

Following a brief investigation, 33-year-old Mika POOLEY of Thunder Bay was arrested and charged with:

  • Impersonating a Peace Officer – use of badge, uniform or equipment

  • Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle

  • Forcible Confinement

Court Appearance Scheduled

Pooley was released on an undertakings package and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on September 10, 2025, to answer to all charges.
