Special Air Quality Statement in Effect

Sioux Lookout – Weather – All of Northwestern Ontario is under the impact of wildfire smoke from western Canada.

Environment Canada has issued a Special Air Quality Statement for Sioux Lookout and Eastern Lac Seul, as smoke from northern Ontario wildfires continues to degrade air quality and visibility. Westerly winds are carrying wildfire smoke into the region, with fluctuating smoke levels expected to continue over the next few days.
