WINNIPEG – NEWS – The issue of potholes is huge in Winnipeg. The number of people complaining has prodded Winnipeg City Council into action.
Council in Winnipeg have voted unanimously in favour of using crushed gravel on city roads.
“This will solve the pothole and sinkhole issues currently plaguing our roadways. Our current budget doesn’t allow for proper cement or asphalt repairs and engineers are confident that gravel is the best option for our city,” states the City in a media statement. “This will allow our equipment operators to smooth down the roads weekly”.
Winnipeg drivers are told to expect construction on every major roadway starting next week.
