Weather Advisory for Kenora – Nestor Falls Issued

KENORA – WEATHER – Environment Canada says that strong winds are expected tonight in the Kenora region. A strengthening low-pressure system arriving today from Manitoba will give periods of heavy rain to the area according to the weather service.

Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Kenora – Grassy Narrows – Whitedog
  • Sioux Narrows – Nestor Falls – Morson

Strong winds tonight are in the forecast.

The weather service reports that tonight a strong cold front will sweep eastward across the area bringing with it strong winds. Wind gusts up to 80 kilometres per hour will be possible with the cold front and for a few hours after the passage of the front tonight into early Monday morning.

Wind warnings may be issued for this event and power outages will be possible.
