Fort Frances – Three Arrested for Drug Trafficking Offences

FORT FRANCES – The OPP report that on July 19, 2020 officers conducted a traffic stop on Portage Avenue in Fort Frances. Officers were looking to speak with the male driver with regard to an earlier occurrence.

Further investigation during the traffic stop led to officers locating and seizing a quantity of suspected fentanyl, Canadian currency, and drug-related paraphernalia.

As a result, Sean BRAGG, age 35 of Fort Frances, ON, Leah HUNTER age 38 of Rainy River First Nation, ON, and Taylor PERRAULT age 24 of Nicickousemenecaning, ON, has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- other drugs CDSA 5(2)
  •  Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 CC 354(1)(a)

Leah HUNTER and Taylor PERRAULT have been released on an Undertaking to appear in court on August 17, 2020, in Fort Frances

BRAGG remains in custody and is to appear in bail court Monday, July 20, 2020.

None of the charges have been proven in court.
