KENORA – All weather alerts have ended as of 08:00am August 28, 2019

 

Environment Canada has a special weather statement in effect for the far western regions of Northwestern Ontario.

Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Kenora – Grassy Narrows – Whitedog
  • Sioux Narrows – Nestor Falls – Morson
  • Pikangikum – Poplar Hill – MacDowell
  • Sandy Lake – Weagamow Lake – Deer Lake

Another round of significant rainfall tonight.

15 to 25 mm of rain is expected tonight. Since late Sunday night, the region has received 30 to 60 mm of rain. As a result, the ground may have limited ability to absorb this additional rainfall. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
