Thunderstorm Warning Extended as of 6 PM in Thunder Bay


THUNDER BAY – WEATHER – The rain along with thunder that rolled through Thunder Bay is not over yet. Environment Canada has extended its thunderstorm watch for Wednesday evening.

Severe thunderstorm watch in effect for:

  • City of Thunder Bay

Widely scattered thunderstorms are forecast to develop this evening. These thunderstorms will be capable of producing strong wind gusts to 90 km/h, heavy rain and large hail near 2 cm.

Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when atmospheric conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms that could produce one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
