THUNDER BAY – Tbaytel is currently experiencing an issue that is affecting landline telephone service for a segment of its residential and business customers, both locally in Thunder Bay and in Fort Frances.

Impacted customers may be experiencing degradation to their telephone service including poor voice quality, or a ‘garbled’ sound when speaking, loss of dial tone or one-way audio, resulting in the inability to complete calls.

Although the estimated time of resolution is unknown at this time, Tbaytel technicians are aware of the issue and are currently working with Tbaytel’s landline telephone service vendor to restore service as quickly as possible.
