Police Charge Man with Carrying Concealed Axe

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Thunder Bay Police report that a42-year-old Thunder Bay man is in custody and will appear in court today on a weapons charge.

Police say that at approximately 2:20 am on July 11, 2018, patrol officers were in the area of the Shelter House dealing with a separate incident when they observed a male walking across the street with an axe in his hand.

Officers say he then placed the axe in his waistband and pulled his shirt over to conceal the weapon.

Officers ordered the male to place the axe on the ground. He complied and was arrested without incident. He has been charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
