THUNDER BAY – Snow is in the forecast.

Most of Northwestern Ontario is under a special weather statement.

Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Kakabeka Falls – Whitefish Lake – Arrow Lake
  • Dryden – Vermillion Bay
  • Kenora
  • Ignace
  • Red Lake – Ear Falls
  • Big Trout Lake
  • Sioux Lookout
  • Sachigo Lake
  • Pickle Lake – Mishkeegogaming

10 to 15 cm of snow possible today and tonight.

Snow will continue to spread eastwards today. Approximately 10 to 15 cm of snow is expected by late tonight when the snow tapers off.

The snow is associated with a low-pressure system developing over Wyoming which is expected to track over Northwestern Ontario by Sunday morning.
