Dryden Police Arrest Suspect for Break and Enter

DRYDEN – On Sunday, October 15, 2017, at approximately 2300 hours Dryden Police were called to a residence located on the 100 Block of Clearwater Crescent after receiving a report of a male suspect attempting to gain entrance to a residence with a knife/machete.

Dryden Police located the suspect who refused to relinquish the weapon and challenged police. Following a physical confrontation, police were able to secure the knife/machete and take the suspect into custody.

The 34-year-old male from Dryden was charged with:

  • Failure to Comply with Probation Order x 2;
  • Break, Enter dwelling – commit indictable offence;
  • Mischief Under $ 5, 000.00;
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose;
  • Assault a Peace Officer with a weapon x 2;
  • and Assault with a Weapon.

None of the charges have been proven in court.
