THUNDER BAY – SPORTS – The Chapples Mens Golf Club have announced a new sponsor for their Chapples Invitational golf tournament. Gore Motors Honda will become the major sponsor for the 2017 tournament.
“We look forward to this sponsorship arrangement, and hope it will continue for many years into the future”, stated Marvin Pupeza, tournament co-chair. “This sponsorship will allow our committee to budget for a first class golf tournament in the Thunder Bay area.”
“This year’s tournament will be restricted to 48 teams, with total prizes worth more than $13,000”, continued Larry Perepeluk, co-chair. “and we expect it to fill up quickly.”
The Chapples Invitational is a 3 man team event, broken down into 4 flights. The event will be held at Chapples golf course on July 22 and 23, 2017. For more information call 355-5074.
