SIOUX LOOKOUT, Ontario – AVIATION – Executives from Perimeter Aviation were in Sandy Lake, ON. recently to provide an update to Chief Bart Meekis and council on their (CPA) Community Partnership Agreement.

Signed on April 2015, the community of Sandy Lake has since received more than $500K in partnership benefits including cash payments, donations and frequent flyer tickets.

Through agreements dating back to 2007, partnering communities in Manitoba and Ontario that are served by Perimeter Aviation have received more than $30M in benefits. These unique Community Partnership Agreements include complimentary shares in EIC upon signature by participating community.

“We believe the strength of our CPA includes share ownership in our parent company with no cash outlay by the community served” commented Carlos Castillo, VP Commercial Service, Perimeter Aviation. “The more a partnering community flies us, the more they earn in benefits and as EIC prospers, dividends are paid to shareholders four times each year.”

Winnipeg based Perimeter Aviation has been linking Sandy Lake, Pikangikum and Sachigo Lake to Winnipeg for more than 10 years. In the fall of 2016 Perimeter enhanced their Sandy Lake and Pikangikum service with a direct link to Sioux Lookout driving increased support from Sandy Lake First Nation.

On October 24, 2016, Perimeter’s service to Sioux Lookout was expanded to include Deer Lake, Sachigo Lake, Weagamow (Round Lake) and North Spirit Lake with many of these new flights featuring joint connecting service with Bearskin Airlines service to/from Thunder Bay.
