THUNDER BAY – Perhaps Thunder Bay Police should adopt the slogan of the US Postal Service? Neither rain, nor sleet or snow keeps uniformed officers of the Thunder Bay Police Service from their appointed rounds.

Tonight in the midst of a downpour, uniformed officers were out working to keep our city safer.

Just south of May Street, officers took a man into custody. The officers put up with some disparaging remarks from one individual, and maintained their professionalism.

Over the weekend, perhaps with the many other activities in the city to keep people busy, and maybe the cooler evenings, it was a quieter weekend for crime.

With Civic Holiday Monday coming on the 4th of August, Police are likely hoping for a similar degree of quiet.
