Crimebeat – Drug Enforcement Officers execute Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Warrant

police car THUNDER BAY – Crimebeat – On September 27, 2012 Thunder Bay Drug Enforcement Officers executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant in the 200 block of Ambrose Street. A 59 year old male resident of Thunder Bay was arrested and taken into custody without incident.

A result of the search of the residence resulted in the seizure of approximately 67 grams of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Street value of the cocaine seized is stated by police to be approximately $6,700.00.

The male has been charged with Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking Section 5(2) CDSA.

The individual will be appearing in court in Thunder Bay on November 20, 2012.

The Combined Forces Organized Crime Unit consists of members from The Thunder Bay Police Service, The O.P.P.- Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, The R.C.M.P., The Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service and The Anishinabek Police Service.
