Greg Rickford – I am looking forward to working with Grand Chief Yesno

KENORA – Greg Rickford, Member of Parliament for Kenora has extended his congratulations to the newly elected Grand Chief of Nishnawbe Aski Nation (NAN), Harvey Yesno. “I am looking forward to working with Grand Chief Yesno,” shared Rickford.

“Harvey brings extensive knowledge and experience with respect to economics, policy and leadership skills he developed in his previous roles such as President of Nishnawbe Aski Development Fund, Chief of Eabametoong First Nation for five terms and a business owner himself”, noted Rickford.

Rickford noted he will continue the effective work they have already started together on various issues affecting the 49 NAN communities and their territory.

“I would also like to extend my congratulations to newly elected Deputy Grand Chiefs for NAN Alvin Fiddler and Goyce Kakegamic as well as re-elected Deputy Grand Chief Les Loutit. I am looking forward to meeting and collaborating with all of the new Executive Council in the near future,” commented Rickford.
