Arrest made in Mac’s Robberies – Youth faces charges for three robberies

NNLCRIMEbeatTHUNDER BAY – Crimebeat – Do the crime, and the Thunder Bay Police will catch you. The world of crime came crashing down on yet another of the individuals responsible for a spree of robberies at Mac’s Convenience Stores in Thunder Bay. A 17 year old male is in custody in connection with three robberies of the Mac’s stores on North May Street and Simpson Street. The robberies took place on March 10th, 11th and 12th, 2012.

The arrest was made just after 12:00PM, today following an extensive multi branch investigation by the TBPS. The suspect was taken into custody without incident on Simpson Street. The 17 year old youth is facing three counts of Robbery With a Weapon, three counts of Disguise With Intent and three counts of Breach of Probation. He will appear in court on Thursday.

As of today, TBPS officers have made arrests in six of the eight Mac’s store robberies which have occurred in 2012.
