MacsTHUNDER BAY – Crimebeat – A 27 year old female has been arrested by members of the Thunder Bay Police Criminal Investigation Unit for the robbery of a convenience store Thursday night. The female has been charged with Robbery, Possession of Stolen Property x3 and Breach of Recognizance.

Five warrants were also executed on the accused for nine outstanding changes ranging from property crime offences to breach of existing court orders.

The accused remains in police custody.

However, on January 21, at the Waterloo Street Mac’s Mart, there has been yet another robbery. Police are looking for a suspect in an early morning robbery. A suspect was armed with a large knife and fled the scene with some store merchandise. No one was reported hurt in the robbery attempt.

Earlier in the week, Mac’s Mart held a meeting at the Victoria Inn highlighting for staff some ideas the company has on increased security. A Mac’s employee who was held at knife-point in a robbery attempt earlier was not allowed into the meeting, and has since reportedly been banned from Mac’s Store properties.
