THUNDER BAY – Do you ride the bus? Would you ride the bus? Right now, The City of Thunder Bay is looking for feedback to help guide our future transit services to better meet the travel needs of the community. Public consultation is an important component in developing the City’s Transit Master Plan. The Plan will include strategies, which will guide the provision of both the conventional transit service as well as the door-to-door specialized transit service to seniors and those who cannot use the conventional service due to disabilities.

Transit is looking for feedback from both riders and non-riders, and are encouraging Thunder Bay residents and businesses to participate in this initiative. Public consultation will begin in March and include a public meeting, an online survey, and an on-board survey.

On-Board Rider Survey: A passenger on-board survey will be conducted during the week of March 7 where short surveys will be distributed to riders on select Thunder Bay Transit buses. Please take a few minutes to answer the short survey when you are onboard.

Public Online Survey: A public survey will be available from March 7 – April 17 on the Thunder Bay Transit website at www.thunderbay.ca/transit. Hard copies of this survey are also available at the City Hall, Thunder Bay Transit office, HAGI office, and public library locations.

Public Meeting: Time/date: Thursday, March 31 – 6 – 9 pm at Confederation College, Shuniah Building, Student Commons.
