THUNDER BAY – With the inaugural season of the Premier Soccer League of Thunder Bay (PSL) coming to an end, the two top teams in the regular season prepare to face-off in the finals of the “A Flight” Playoffs.
League Champions, Thunder Bay Italia Juventus, will face the Thunder Bay Chill Reserves, who placed second in the regular season. The finals will be a two game, total goal series, where the winner will be crowned Playoff Champion and lift the Regiment Cup trophy.
The two games will take place on Thursday, August 26th, 2010, and Sunday, August 29th, 2010, with both games kicking-off at 6:00 p.m. at Chapples Park (Field 4).
The Reserves reached the finals by defeating the On Deck Eurostars in the semi-finals 3-0 on Tuesday, August 24th, 2010. Italia Juventus received an automatic bye to the finals round by placing first in the regular season of the “A Flight”.
The playoffs of the “Retro Division” were completed on Wednesday, August 25th, 2010, when Plex FC claimed the Championship by defeating Nemesis 9-1 in the finals.
