CALGARY – Sports – The Calgary Flames spoiled Pierre-Luc Dubois’ debut with the Winnipeg Jets in a 3-2 win at Scotiabank Saddledome on Tuesday.

Elias Lindholm’s power-play goal broke a tie with 1:42 left in the third period.

Dubois, a center, was traded by the Columbus Blue Jackets to the Jets for forwards Patrik Laine and Jack Roslovic on January 23rd. Dubois did not have a shot on goal and was minus-1 in 13:10 of ice time. It was his first game since January 21.

“I think as the game got underway and as the minutes kept going down, I felt better and better,” Dubois said. “I think the legs, the head and the hands for me are three things that there’s a little adjustment and as the game went on, I felt like I was reading plays faster. I was reading positioning faster where in the first period or so, I thought it took me a little bit too long to read. So, I think practice and video and games, slowly it’ll come back.”

Senators vs Oilers

OTTAWA – SPORTS – Mikko Koskinen stopped 40 shot in the nets backstopping the Edmonton Oilers in a 3-2 win against the Ottawa Senators at Canadian Tire Centre on Tuesday.

“They threw a lot of pucks at the net in the third period,”said Oilers coach Dave Tippett talking about the Senators play.

The Senators outshot Edmonton 16-7 in the final 20 minutes. “[Koskinen] made a couple of real key saves at the right time to preserve the two points for us.”
