NNL SPORTS – The Montreal Canadians Carey Price got his 350th NHL win backstopping the Habs to a 5-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks in Saturday hockey action.

Montreal who are now 4-0-2 have joined the 1968-69 Canadiens who were 5-0-1 as the only team in NHL history to have played the first six games of a season on the road and get at least one point in each.

Price made 23 saves in the win. His best save of the game came when he slid across to rob Canucks forward Jake Virtanenon a backdoor one-timer at 12:47 of the second period.

Coach Claude Julien said,”I’m not going to lie, this is a great road trip for us”. You start with your first six games on the road, it’s not an easy schedule, but I thought we embraced it. We got better as the games went on, and obviously building a little bit more chemistry along the way as well on the ice and off the ice, so there’s a lot of good things that came out of this road trip.”

Andrew Copp scored twice in a four-goal third period, and the Winnipeg Jets completed a three-game sweep of the Ottawa Senators with a 6-3 win at Bell MTS Place on Saturday.

Paul Stastny and Mark Scheifele each had a goal and two assists, and Blake Wheeler had three assists, including his 500th in the NHL, for the Jets (4-1-0). Connor Hellebuyck made 18 saves.
