COVID-19 Exposure Under Investigation at McKellar Park Central Public School

Thunder Bay – COVID-19 Update – The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is working with school officials and the Lakehead Public Schools over a possible COVID-19 exposure.

In a letter from the Health Unit it states, “The Thunder Bay District Health Unit has been notified of cases of COVID-19 associated with McKellar Park Central Public School. At this time there is no evidence that the virus has spread in the school setting. This is NOT considered an outbreak”.

The Health Unit is contacting persons who would be considered close contacts or “high risk contact” of someone with COVID-19.

Anyone identified as a close contact by public health officials will be required to stay home from school until cleared by public health.
