February 4, 2021 – Thunder Bay District Health Unit Reports Four New COVID-19 Cases

Thunder Bay – COVID-19 Update – Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 4 (four) new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region.

There are currently 134 active cases of the virus in the district.

  • One case at Thunder Bay District Jail
  • One case no known exposure
  • Two cases are pending

Nine cases have been resolved. There is one person who has been admitted to hospital.

All four of today’s reported cases are in Thunder Bay and surrounding communities.

Ontario Numbers

Ontario has reported 1,563 new cases of COVID-19 today.

However, officials report fluctuations in the case numbers are going to be likely over the next few days due to a recent data migration that led to underreported numbers from Toronto District Health.

88 more people have died as a result of the virus, bringing the Ontario total to 6,393.

Most of the new infections are in Toronto with 584 new cases, followed by Peel Region with 265 cases, and York Region with 132 cases of the virus.
