Thunder Bay District Health Unit Reports 11 New COVID-19 Cases

Thunder Bay – COVID-19 Update – Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting eleven new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region.

The total number of current active cases is 150.

Four of the new cases are part of the outbreak at the Thunder Bay Correctional Centre and one at the District Jail.

Four cases are from close contact, and one from no known exposure. One is pending.

Ontario Report

63 people had died from the COVID-19 virus. The death toll in Ontario now stands at 5,909 people.

The better news is that there are 1,740 new cases of the virus reported in the province on Tuesday, January 26, 2021.

The hot spots for COVID-19 in Ontario remain with 677 cases in Toronto, 320 cases in Peel Region, and 144 cases in York Region.
