Thunder Bay – COVID-19 Update – Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 56 (fifty-six) new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region. The current number of active cases is 128.

43 of the new cases are part of the Thunder Bay Correctional Centre outbreak, and another 8 are part of the outbreak at the Thunder Bay District Jail.

There is one new case in the Valard Construction East – West Tie line outbreak.

Three of the cases are from close contact and one is pending.

One case has been resolved.

The City of Thunder Bay based on information from the Thunder Bay District Health Unit has put out new requirements for outdoor skating rinks in Thunder Bay.

The nets are being removed from the rinks, and limits on the numbers on those outdoor hockey / boarded rinks is update. Read the full report here.

Southbridge Roseview remains in a confirmed COVID-19 outbreak with 1 active resident and 1 active staff cases. This staff members is currently isolating and recovering at home.

Ontario Cases on January 21 2021

Ontario is reporting 2,632 cases of COVID-19 today.

In terms of the hotspots, there are 897 new cases in Toronto, 412 in Pee Region, 245 in York Region, 162 in Ottawa, and 118 in Waterloo.
