Ontario Over 3000 Cases Again Today

Thunder Bay – COVID-19 Update – Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 14 (fourteen) new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region. There has also been another person die as a result of the virus. The death toll in the Thunder Bay District is now 24.

Update: There has been another death at the Southbridge Roseview Long-Term Care home. The figure, not reported in today’s figures will be officially included in tomorrow’s figures according to the TBDHU.

The death is one of the residents from the Southbridge Roseview Long-term care home.

Roseview remains in a confirmed COVID-19 outbreak with 2 active staff cases. These staff members are currently isolating and recovering at home. The company states, “It is with deep sadness that we share that 23 residents have passed as a result of this virus.”

There is one person hospitalized, and one person in the ICU.

5 of the cases reported today have no known exposure. 6 are from close contact, and 3 are pending

The current number of active cases is 89. Four cases have been resolved.

Ontario Reports

Ontario is reporting 3,056 cases of #COVID19 and nearly 73,900 tests completed. There are 903 new cases in Toronto, 639 in Peel, 283 in York Region, 162 in Durham and 152 in Ottawa.
