Thunder Bay – WEATHER – Its the weekend? Or under a lockdown – Stay at Home Order, does it matter? Hope you and your family are staying safe.

Today you can choose to go sliding or snow-shoeing at Loch Lomond or Mount Baldy in Thunder Bay. Get out, get some exercise and help support these two local businesses.

In the weather world, there are no alerts or warnings in effect for both Western and Northern Ontario. It is a lot colder further north as seen in the cold spot of Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug First Nation, and the temperature of -4 in Thunder Bay, and similar for Fort Frances.

The cold spot in Ontario is Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug First Nation  where it is -21.7 °C or -7.1 °F.

Thunder Bay Weather Outlook

This morning at 6:30 am EST it is -4°C in Thunder Bay, by later today the temperature is expected to fall a degree to -5°C. Skies are cloudy with a 30 percent chance of flurries. Winds are from the north at 20 km/h but will become light late this morning. The wind chill will be near -12°C.

Tonight, those clouds will continue. There will be a 30 percent chance of snow flurries. Winds will be up to 15 km/h. The overnight low will be -11°C.

Greenstone Geraldton Weather Outlook

It is -8°C this morning to start the day in Geraldton, heading to a high of -6°C. Skies are cloudy and there is a 60 percent chance of snow flurries, with a risk of freezing drizzle this morning. Winds are from the northeast at 20 km/h. The wind chill is -19°C this morning and will be -13°C this afternoon.

Tonight, those cloudy skies will continue. There is a 40 percent chance of snow flurries this evening and after midnight. Winds will be northeast 20 km/h becoming light early this evening. The overnight low -17°C, with a wind chill of -14°C this evening and -22°C overnight.

Fort Frances Weather Outlook

It is -5°C in Fort Frances this morning. Skies are cloudy and there is a 40 percent chance of snow flurries this morning. Winds will be up to 15 km/h. The temperature will remain steady near -5°C all day, with the wind chill near -10°C.

Tonight Mainly cloudy. Wind up to 15 km/h. Low minus 9°C. Wind chill near minus 12°C.

Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug First Nation Weather Outlook

It is -21°C to start the day in Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug First Nation. Skies are mainly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of flurries. Winds will be up to 15 km/h. The daytime high will be -9°C with the wind chill at -22°C this morning and -14°C this afternoon.

Tonight will see mainly cloudy conditions with a 30 percent chance of flurries this evening and after midnight. Those periods of light snow are going to start after midnight. Winds will be up to 15 km/h. The overnight low will be -17°C. The wind chill will make it feel more like -15°C this evening and -22°C overnight.

Kenora and Lake of the Woods Weather Outlook

It is -10°C this morning to start the day in Kenora. Skies are mainly cloudy. There is a 30 percent chance of snow flurries this morning. Winds will be up to 15 km/h. The daytime high for Saturday will be -6°C. The wind chill will make it feel like -13°C this morning and -8°C this afternoon.

Tonight, skies will become partly cloudy before clouding over completely near midnight. Winds will be up to 15 km/h. The overnight low -10°C. With the wind chill at -8°C this evening and -13°C overnight.
