Thunder Bay – LIVING – The United Churches of Thunder Bay invite everyone in the city and region to watch a special, on-line Christmas Eve service. The service will be streamed live at 9 p.m. on the website of Trinity United Church Thunder Bay.
The Revered Randy Boyd will be providing a message on the subject of Christmas in the Time of Covid.
The service will feature music by the Cosbey family of musicians as well as Thunder Bay tenor Justin Stolz and includes a series of familiar Christmas readings and carols including O Come All Ye Faithful, Angels We Have Heard on High, Away in a Manger and Joy to the World.
There will also be a lighting of the Christmas candles followed by a singing of Silent Night.
The service is a co-operative effort by the city’s United Churches and their music directors and choirs. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the directors and dozens of choir members have produced socially-distanced video hymns using Zoom technology.
Anyone who loves Christmas music will be inspired by these beautiful productions.
