Thunder Bay – Student Transportation Services in Thunder Bay are having continued issues getting school bus drivers.

The shortage of drivers is causing suspensions of routes.

The following routes are suspended through Friday, December 18:

  • NORTH 81 serving Bishop EQ Jennings AM & PM, Our Lady of Charity AM, St. Ignatius PM
  • SOUTH 36 serving St. Patrick AM
  • (S36 NOON STPA will still be serviced)
  • SOUTH 43 serving St. Patrick AM, Pope John Paul II AM, St. Martin AM & PM, St. Ann AM & PM
  • (S43 NOON STPA will still be serviced)

Due to the ongoing severe driver shortage, all available driver resources are being used to cover as many routes with no permanently assigned drivers as possible. Parents are reminded to be prepared for their child’s bus to be suspended at any time should their driver not be available.
