Thunder Bay – WEATHER – Watch out for black cats crossing your path today, its Friday the 13th 2020. Weather has sure changed in a week. Last weekend Western Ontario was having almost mid-summer conditions.

This Friday, headed into the weekend, we are seeing much more seasonal conditions.

Thunder Bay

The city in the shadow of the Sleeping Giant can expect cloudy skies with a 30 percent chance of flurries early this morning. Skies will clear this morning. Winds up to 15 km/h. Friday’s high will be -2. The wind chill will make it feel more like near -8.

Tonight in Thunder Bay, expect a few clouds. There will be increasing cloudiness before morning. Winds up to 15 km/h. A low of -6 with temperature rising to zero by morning and a wind chill -8 this evening.

Looking ahead to Saturday, the weather service says to expect cloudy skies with winds becoming south 20 km/h gusting to 40 in the morning. Saturday’s high will be -4.

Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug

Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug was the Cold Spot in Ontario this morning. The mercury was at -17c. For Friday Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug can expect mainly cloudy skies with a 30 percent chance of flurries early this morning. Expect clearing skies late this morning with winds of up to 15 km/h. High -8 but a wind chill making it feel more like -22 this morning and minus 14 this afternoon.

Tonight, Environment Canada says to expect a few clouds. Winds up to 15 km/h. Low -10. The wind chill near -16.

For Saturday, expect increasing cloudiness with winds becoming south 20 km/h in the morning. High minus 2. Wind chill -14 in the morning and -8 in the afternoon.

Kenora and Lake of the Woods Region

It is -12c in Kenora this morning. The forecast is calling for a mix of sun and cloud with a 30 percent chance of flurries this morning. Winds will become south 20 km/h late this morning. Friday will see a high of -1 with a wind chill of -19 this morning and -7 this afternoon.

Friday night will see clear skies to start the evening but there will be increasing cloudiness overnight. Winds will be south 20 km/h. An overnight low of -4 with a wind chill near -10.

For Saturday, expect cloudy skies with a high of +2. Winds will be south 20 km/h gusting to 40. Wind chill minus 10 in the morning.
