SIOUX LOOKOUT – Another popular event has fallen due to COVID-19.

Ziggy Beardy, Stephan Fiddler and Jethro Tait the chairs of the Hockey Committee advise that “Due to COVID, Little Bands Native Youth Hockey Tournament in 2021 will be CANCELLED. We will see you for our 20th LBNYH Tournament – Date TBA. We will miss everyone! Teams, Chaperones, and the Fans. Continue to play, practice, and fundraise.”
This very popular event brought players and family to Dryden and Sioux Lookout.
The impact of this tournament is huge as it brings people from across Northern Ontario into the Dryden district for a week of fun.
Business, especially hotels, restaurants and businesses will see the impact of this decision.
More importantly, the players, who work and plan and look forward to this annual event will be missing the fellowship and challenges.
Perhaps COVID-19 should be re-named the “fun killer virus”?
