THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Ontario New Democrat leader Andrea Horwath comments on the developing situation at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre which has reported the potential for a COVID-19 Outbreak at the facility.

A doctor from southern Ontario working at the facility tested positive for COVID-19, and 250 patients and staff are being tested.

TBRHSC Doctor Stewart Kennedy says the overall risk is rated as low.

The Ontario NDP leader says that information on this possible outbreak of COVID-19 was not known in southern Ontario.

Horwath says there are too many “Mixed messages coming from officials with the government during this pandemic.”

Families of patients are reaching out to NetNewsLedger seeking information – NNL has contacted Tracie Smith at the TBRHSC for information on the protocols that the health care facility is following. As of posting we still don’t have those answers.
