May 28, 2020 – Fog Advisory for North Shore of Lake Superior

NIPIGON – UPDATED – Dense fog is being observed along the north shore of Lake Superior and will remain in the area this morning according to Environment Canada.

Fog advisory in effect for:

  • Marathon – Schreiber
  • Nipigon – Rossport

Near zero visibility in fog is expected or occurring.

The fog may become more widespread this morning and may expand eastward towards Sault St. Marie. As a result, this advisory may be expanded into these areas.

Earlier Report: If you are travelling overnight along the North Shore of Lake Superior, expect slow going as there is heavy fog reported along the lake.

Environment Canada says the fog could stretch out east toward Sault Ste Marie by morning.

Fog advisory in effect for:

  • Nipigon – Rossport

Near zero visibility in fog is expected or occurring.

Dense fog is being observed along the north shore of Lake Superior and will remain in the area tonight into Thursday morning.

If the fog increases heading toward morning Environment Canada says that this advisory may be expanded overnight on the more eastward areas of Lake Superior.
