Greenstone – First Positive Case of COVID-19 Reported

GREENSTONE – Mayor Renald Y. Beaulieu says, “The announcement that there is a positive case of COVID-19 in the Municipality of Greenstone is a reminder to all residents that we must continue being diligent in practicing the recommended prevention methods.  Social distancing, hand washing,  and staying home as much as you can are imperative to reducing the spread of the COVID-19 virus.  The Municipality has been very diligent in implementing the recommendations and mandates put in place to date and I encourage all residents to continue to follow all suggested protocols.  Our Community will get through this difficult time together.”

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit confirmed that a 40-year-old man, who worked at the Lac Des Iles mine tested positive and is now self-isolating at home.
