Police Arrest Twenty-Year-Old Man for Child Pornography Charges

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police have made another arrest for child pornography.

In an ongoing investigation involving child pornography police report that members of the service’s Cyber Crimes Unit began an investigation on January 21, 2020, after learning that suspected child pornography was being uploaded by a local Internet user.

The investigation identified a potential suspect and on January 30, 2020 police officers executed a search warrant at a residence in the 700 block of Marks Street South.

Several devices were seized during that search. Police later located images consistent with child pornography.

Michael Ian Wolfe MCCUTCHON, 20, of Thunder Bay, faces charges related to Accessing Child Pornography.

McCutchon appeared in bail court on Monday, February 17, 2020, and was released with conditions and a future appearance date.

Police say that the investigation is ongoing.
