WINNIPEG – NEWS – Winnipeg Police are investigating the first homicide of the year in the city.

On January 10, 2020, at approximately 6:13 pm, members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the Worthington neighbourhood for a report of suspicious circumstances.

Soon after, officers located an injured adult female at a residence in the first 100 block of Hindley Avenue. The female was transported to the hospital in critical condition where she was pronounced deceased. An adult male has been arrested.

This investigation is continuing by members of the Homicide Unit. More information is expected to be released on Monday.
