WASHAHO Cree Nation – WEATHER – Environment Canada has issued an extreme cold warning for the far north of Ontario.

The forecast is calling for clear skies overnight with winds of up to 15 km/h. The overnight low will be minus 35. The wind chill is minus 34 this evening and falling to minus 45 overnight.

For Sunday, January 12, 2020 expect increasing cloudiness in the morning. Winds will be up to 15 km/h. Sunday’s high minus 22. The wind chill will be minus 45 in the morning and minus 31 in the afternoon.

Extreme Cold Warning in effect for:

  • Fort Severn
  • Peawanuck

Extreme wind chill values of minus 45 are likely tonight into Sunday morning.
