THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Fire Rescue on November 12, 2019, at 01:24 received multiple calls for a working structural fire in the 500 block of Simpson Street.

The fire was located in the rear of the property against the building and had penetrated the rear roof area of the structure.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue upon arrival observed a large amount of smoke and flames emanating from the rear of the building and at that time a second alarm was initiated. The fire was quickly brought under control due to the quick aggressive response of the initial responding units.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue responded 5 Pumper Units as well as an Arial Ladder to the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
