Three Arrested in East-End Drug Bust – Cocaine and Cash Seized

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – A drug bust in the East-End has three suspects in custody, and almost $10k in cocaine and $8,000 in cash seized.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Uniform Patrol Branch were dispatched to a disturbance call in the 700 block of Pacific Avenue just after 10 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, 2019.

In a media statement, TBPS says, “When officers knocked on the door of the residence they observed a window opening on the upper level of the home and a clear bag being thrown to the ground. The bag contained a substance believed to be cocaine.

As a result of their investigation, officers located more than $8,000 CAD in the same room the suspected cocaine was thrown from. Officers arrested three people for possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

The estimated street value of the drugs seized is believed to be about $10,000.

Members of the Thunder Bay Police Service’s Intelligence Unit continue to investigate.

Meleek Dannor MUNROE-DALEY, 22, of Toronto, Blake Thomas SHEPPARD-MARTINEZ, 19, of Mississauga, and Lenaya Forest ROUNDHEAD, 27, of Thunder Bay, are all charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

All three appeared in court Monday and were remanded into custody with future appearance dates.

The investigation remains ongoing and further charges are possible.
