THUNDER BAY – POLiTICS 2.0 – Passenger rail service in Northern Ontario for the major population centres of Thunder Bay through to Kenora are not met as the VIA Rail route is on the northern CN tracks.

Thunder Bay-Superior North Conservative candidate Frank Pullia is talking transportation. Sharing a plan that has been in the works for over a decade, Pullia says what is needed is the political will and the ability for creating the willingness to bring all the players to the table.

Transportation in Northwestern Ontario has been impacted by the decision by Greyhound to suspend service in the region. Kasper Transportation based in Thunder Bay has been working hard to fill the void left by Greyhound.

Passenger rail service Pullia asserts would make a great complimentary benefit to all partners including private sector business.

Pullia states that what is needed in the North is locally made decisions which include Northwestern Ontario businesses and community partners in a transportation plan to fully benefit the region.
